This is a great way to participate in the country's largest quilt shop hop. Just board a luxury coach bus at a nearby participating Twin City Metro Section quilt shop and head out to Minnesota's beautiful lake country to visit quilt shops in the Central West section of Quilt Minnesota.
The shops you will visit are:
Colorz for Quilts in Brainerd Common Threads Quilt Shop in Garfield Country Fabrics in Brainerd Dawn's Quilt Shop in Alexandria Gone to Pieces Quilt Shop in Kimball Gruber's Quilt Shop in Waite Park Quilts on Broadway in Foley
The price for the trip is $30 for the coach bus transportation. Lodging will be between $35 and $65 for one night, double occupancy, continental breakfast included. You will be responsible for other meals.
There will be two buses leaving from the Twin Cities Metro area, with two different sets of departure points and accommodations. Watch for more details on the departure points and schedule.

Each participating quilt shop will be handing out a free 5" square of fabric from the exclusive Quilt Minnesota 2009 fabric collection designed by Windham Fabrics plus a free pattern for a 9" quilt block. Visit different participating quilt shops to collect different fabrics and patterns.

The Metro Section quilt shops in the Twin Cities are again sponsoring bus trips to take you in style to each of the 12 participating quilt shops in the Metro Section.
This year, there will be two departure points, making it easy to jump on a bus from wherever you are. One departure point is Roseville High School, the other is near the Mall of America. We will be posting maps and directions soon. Departure time is 8:00 AM. Return time will be about 5:30 PM.
The cost of the bus is $20. A lunch will be available for $8. When you sign up, indicate whether or not you would like to purchase the lunch, and then pay for it on the day of the tour.
